The philosophy of Murrundindi's winemaking team is very simple – to produce wines that express the vineyards in which they were grown. Careful site selection and a strict policy of low yields are all measures undertaken to ensure that each wine is unique.

The Family Reserve wines are only produced in outstanding years from the original vineyard "over the back" of the property.

The latest edition of the Australia Wine Companion has rated the entire Family Reserve in the highest echelon in Australian Wines.

In 2005 the family decided to add another label to their portfolio, even though there was concern the family patriarch wouldn't be pleased, hence the name... Don't Tell Dad.

Murrindindi Vineyard produces a Riesling and a Cabernet Sauvignon for this Label... but Don't Tell Dad!!!

James Halliday rated the 2008 Don't Tell Dad Riesling with 90 points and the Don't Tell Dad 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon with a rating of 93 points.
